Where does the money go exactly?
Sanctuary Memorials is a private initiative. It is run by independent guardians who dedicate 100% of their time to the animals, without holidays or weekends.
Once technical costs and taxes are paid, the money goes directly to what matters: the animals, the land, and the people who care for them every day:
- • Animal Care: Hay, pellets, veterinary surgeries, straw
- • Operations: Fuel, repairs, equipment
- • Daily Life: Sustenance of the humans working 24/7

Is this a real sanctuary?
Yes. We are located in Creuse, France — a rural region known for its preserved nature. Our animals are registered, microchipped, and under regular veterinary care.
You are welcome to visit by appointment. This is not a virtual concept. It's mud, hay, and living beings who depend on people like you.
Why only $29 for all of this?
Because we're not a tech company. We're a sanctuary.
Other services charge $100+ for a restored image alone. We include everything — portrait, certificate, Legend page, Constellation entry, memorial video, and a thank-you photo — because our goal isn't profit.
$27 of your $29 goes directly to animal care. $2 covers our tools.
We keep costs low because every dollar saved is a dollar that feeds a rescued pig or funds emergency surgery. This is grief transformed into survival. That's the mission.
What if I'm not satisfied with the restoration?
When you receive your restored portrait, you have 7 days to request a free revision or a full refund — no questions asked.
Once you submit the Legend Form (which triggers the creation of your certificate, Legend page, Constellation entry, and memorial video), the restoration is considered accepted.
We encourage you to take your time with the portrait before proceeding. This is a sacred decision.
How long will the Legend page stay online?
Forever. We maintain redundant backups and have provisioned hosting for decades. Your memorial is not a temporary service — it's an eternal resting place in the digital sky.
Is my memorial private?
Your Legend page is a public memorial by design — like a grave in a cemetery where anyone can come to pay respects.
Anyone exploring the Constellation can click on your companion's star and visit their Legend page, light a candle, or download the portrait to honor them.
This is intentional: grief shared becomes lighter. But if you prefer intimacy, you can simply choose not to share the link yourself.
My photo is terrible quality.
That is exactly why we exist. Our restoration engine rebuilds missing details, enhances clarity, and reveals the soul behind the pixels.
However, a human artist verifies every image. If we cannot save your photo, we refund you immediately. No risk, no guilt.
